About FreeUI

FreeUI publishes free game UI asset packs. The difference from most free packs is the delivery format: instead of one flat sheet you have to cut up yourself, every element arrives as its own transparent PNG with measured 9-slice margins, a sprite atlas, and files you can import directly into Unity, Godot or Cocos.

How the packs are made

The pipeline is the same one used by CozyUI, our commercial tool:

  1. An AI image model generates a complete UI screen from a style and genre brief.
  2. A computer-vision pipeline separates that screen into individual atomic elements — buttons, panels, icons, bars — each as a transparent PNG.
  3. A semantic quality gate measures every element against the source. Elements that fail get regenerated and re-checked automatically, and the pack is not published until the gate passes.
  4. We measure 9-slice margins, normalise the palette, name everything, and build the atlas and engine files.
  5. Three rights checks run before publication — reverse image search, a trademark term blocklist, and a font licence check. Any failure means the pack is discarded, not fixed.

Every pack ships a PROVENANCE.json recording the model used, the date, the human steps, and the screening results. We publish it because you should be able to check rather than trust.

How this site pays for itself

It does not, directly — there are no ads, no email wall, no download timer, and no "premium" version of these packs. FreeUI exists because the same pipeline powers CozyUI, a paid tool for people who need this output for their own art rather than ours: upload a screenshot or a mockup and get back the same layered, engine-ready assets.

If the free packs solve your problem, use them and owe us nothing. If you keep wishing they were in your own style, that is what the paid tool is for. That is the whole business model.
